Master's in Philosophy
University of Amsterdam
2021 - 2023

In my master’s thesis, I explored the concept of belonging in the context of displacement caused by climate change. My research focused on environmental migrants, also known as climate refugees, and the disproportionate impact of climate change on marginalized individuals and communities. Drawing on Hannah Arendt’s political theory and critique of the nation-state, I argued that inclusive policies are essential for addressing the complex impacts of displacement and prioritizing the needs of the most vulnerable communities. Using an intersectional framework, I also emphasized the importance of considering the unique challenges faced by environmental migrants or climate refugees, particularly those who experience statelessness. To address these challenges, I drew on feminist theories and personal experiences of feminists, such as Bell Hooks, Mariana Ortega, and María Lugones, who use a bottom-up approach to research crucial issues.

Bachelor's in Philosophy with a minor in Theatre, Film, and Literature Studies
University of Antwerp
2018 - 2021

During my undergraduate studies, I focused on the topic of the unequal distribution of care work, with a particular emphasis on women’s experiences. This topic also formed the foundation of my bachelor’s thesis, in which I explored in-depth the issues surrounding unpaid and underpaid care work, and the ways in which it disproportionately affects women, especially those from marginalized backgrounds and migrant communities.

Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts Specialization in Graphic Design - Illustrative Design
Sint Lucas Antwerp
2015 - 2018

During my first bachelor's degree, I was mostly reading lots of books, going to the movies, drinking wine, and painting at night. I learned to deal with my fears, navigate through tight deadlines, and made many friends during this period. Maybe I should have taken those years more seriously, or maybe not. Either way, enjoyed the process of personal growth.
